On December 8 each year, the Zen tradition commemorates the enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama, who vowed to sit beneath the Bo tree until he attained nirvana. This year, we invite you to observe this holiday with a three-day virtual sesshin from December 10 to December 12.
While much of this sesshin will necessarily be conducted on one’s own, opportunities to connect with others in the sangha, to support one another’s practice, to receive dokusan, and to attend Gendo Roshi‘s teisho will take place via Zoom. Zoom sessions are marked in red in the general schedule below. Please sign up for this special event using our Event Registration Form.
If you are new to Zen and want to participate in this event, you will first need to have an orientation. You may arrange for an orientation by using our Contact Form or by calling 231-907-2910.
