In accordance with the millennia-old tradition, Great Wave performs Fusatsu, the renewal of vows ceremony, during the regular weekly meditation meeting that falls closest to the full moon. Fusatsu is a time for us to reflect on how we have maintained the 16 Bodhisattva Precepts and is ordinarily preceded by a Day of Reflection.
Anyone may participate either in person or via Zoom, regardless of background or membership status. If participating in person, you must have received an orientation to Great Wave and have completed registration for Weekly In-Person Zazen Meetings.
If participating via Zoom, you must have received an orientation to Zen practice and will need to download a copy of the ceremony. Further guidance may be provided by the Ino (chant leader) during the ceremony.
