Weekly Sitting Schedule Changed as Sept. 25

As is the case at many other Zen centers, things at Great Wave are always changing!
As of September 25th, Great Wave’s weekly schedule will see a move from Thursday’s evening meditation period to Wednesday evenings, from 7:00 – 8:15.
Visitors may wish to look at our events calendar for more information about other regularly scheduled activities at Great Wave.
Fall Retreats Scheduled!

Great Wave Zen Sangha has added retreats to its fall events calendar, starting with a half-day retreat on September 15, from 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM. (Please register here.)
In October, Great Wave will pilot a new form of the zazenkai (or one-day retreat), by starting it on Saturday evening, October 12, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, and then continuing on the following morning, October 13, from 5:30 AM to 12:30 PM. (Please register here.)
November 10 will offer a more traditional zazenkai, (Please register here.) and in commemoration of the Rohatsu holiday, a three-day sesshin will be held. (Please register here.)
At all retreats, participants will have an opportunity to deepen and clarify the experience of zazen, practice liturgy, participate in oryoki meals, receive private instruction from resident teacher Gendo Sensei, and to hear a Dharma talk. We sincerely hope that you will try to make one or more of these retreats.
